Joanna Simson is part of the Checa family as her art has been in display at our restaurant since we started.

Her collages are an intuitive way of working with analogue and digital techniques, exploring texture, colour and form. The images are made from paper of different sorts, photographs, painting, drawing, prints and fabric. Images are continuously turned around, escaping a clear up or down.

Her inspiration for this work comes from urban life, mess, waste and wanting to make new pieces from old ones in an endless cycle of tearing and building.
